Alf Engen Ski Museum Snow Exhibit
Professor Jim Steenburgh and PhD Candidate Peter Veals recently contributed to the
development of a new snow exhibit at the Alf Engen Ski Museum at the Utah Olympic Park. Jim said, "The developers did an amazing job as it is a
beautiful exhibit covering the history of the Greatest Snow on Earth phrase, snow
water content (with an interactive screen allowing you to examine the average snow
water content around the US), the Great Salt Lake Effect, snow crystals, etc."
The snow crystal exhibit is interactive and allows visitors to turn dials and adjust
temperature and humidity to see how it impacts the crystals. (See photo to the left.)
